January 15, 2026 — It has been a busy week at our church building. We are doing some things to spruce up the place some. With the leadership of Sharon Duncan, we are in the process of caulking some windows and painting all of our curbs. We will soon be hanging our signs on the highways around town.
Next Wednesday night, January 21st, we are having a meal together at 6:00 and then a short Bible Study. We did this once before and it was a great success. The Keeters’ and the Hodges’ will be in charge of the meal, so just show up with an appetite and bring your Bible.
Our church attendance has averaged 66 since the beginning of the new year. That encourages me because we have had a lot of sickness. This matches our average for 2025, which was over double the attendance for 2024. God is great!
We would invite all in our community to join us for breakfast each Sunday morning at 9, followed by Sunday School at 9:30, then Worship at 10:30. I can’t emphasize the word “Worship” enough. I feel like we are there to praise God and that is what He expects of us. Last week in Sunday School, we had to bring in extra chairs. What a glorious thing.
As many know, we paid off the loan that we secured to purchase our property from the Methodist Conference on December 31, 2025. We are going to celebrate that on February 1st with a note-burning celebration, meaning we are debt-free, followed by a brisket meal with all the trimmings. Invite your friends to come
celebrate with us.
Each week we are going to have a simple memory verse. This weeks’ verse is James 1:2- “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds.” The verse goes on to say that the testing of our faith develops perseverance. Life isn’t always easy, but God finds a way to make everything
good.
Join us Sunday to be with some Bible-lovin’, people-lovin’ Christians.
